Privacy Policy

Last Updated: June 20, 2025

Hey there! 👋

I’m Sunny, and I believe in being transparent about how I handle your information. Just like I’ve shared my personal journey with you, I want to be equally open about how this website works and what happens with your data.

The Simple Version

I respect your privacy. I don’t sell your data. I don’t spam. And I definitely don’t do anything shady with your information. This website is my way of sharing knowledge and experiences, not harvesting data.

What Information I Collect

When You Just Browse

  • Basic stuff like your IP address (that’s automatic, can’t help it)
  • Which pages you visit and how long you stay
  • What device and browser you’re using
  • Where you came from (Google, social media, direct link, etc.)

When You Interact With Me

  • Your name and email (only if you contact me or comment)
  • Any information you voluntarily share in comments or messages
  • If you subscribe to updates, your email address

When You Comment

  • Your name, email, and website URL (if you provide it)
  • Your comment content (obviously!)
  • Your profile picture via Gravatar (more on this below)
  • IP address (for spam prevention)

When You Purchase From My Store

Even if you’re grabbing something FREE (yes, free stuff needs checkout too!), I collect:

  • Your name and email address
  • Billing information (for paid products)
  • Transaction details and purchase history
  • Download logs (to prevent abuse and help with support)
  • Any additional info you provide during checkout

Don’t worry – I use secure payment processors for paid products, and I never see or store your credit card details!

About Gravatar & Your Profile Picture

When you comment, your profile picture comes from Gravatar – a service by Automattic (the WordPress folks). Here’s the deal:

  • Gravatar links your email to your profile picture
  • I don’t control what Gravatar does with your data
  • Want a different picture? Update it on Gravatar.com
  • No Gravatar account? You’ll get a default mystery person icon

If you’re privacy-conscious about profile pictures, you can:

  • Use a different email for comments
  • Not set up a Gravatar
  • Or just embrace the mystery person look! 🕵️

Why I Collect This Information

Look, I’m not Facebook or Google. I collect information for pretty simple reasons:

  • To make the website better: Understanding which posts you love helps me create more useful content
  • To respond to you: If you contact me or comment, I need your info to reply
  • Analytics: To see if my SEO tips are actually bringing people here 😄
  • Security: To keep spammers and bots away from ruining our community
  • Store Management: To deliver your purchases (even free ones) and provide support
  • Legal Stuff: To maintain records for tax and legal compliance (boring but necessary)

Cookies & Tracking

Yes, this website uses cookies. But before you panic, let me explain:

Essential Cookies

These are like the foundation of a house – needed for the website to function properly.

Analytics Cookies

I use Google Analytics to understand how people use my site. It’s anonymized, so I see patterns, not people.

Third-Party Cookies

Some tools, services, and payment processors I recommend or use may set their own cookies, so be sure to check their policies as well. I will always try to be transparent about affiliate links and third-party services. However, if I ever forget to disclose this, I recommend treating all links as affiliate links.

Third-Party Services

Since I share content about various tools and services, here’s what you should know:

  • Google Analytics: For understanding website traffic
  • Social Media Embeds: If I embed tweets or YouTube videos, they might track you
  • Affiliate Programs: Some links are affiliate links (I’ll always disclose this – but I would recommend you to think all links as an affiliate link)
  • Comment System: Powered by WordPress, with Gravatar for profile pictures
  • Payment Processors: For store purchases (they have their own privacy policies)
  • Email Service: For delivering your purchases and updates

Your Rights

You’re not just a visitor; you’re part of this community. So you have rights:

  • Access Your Data: Ask me what information I have about you
  • Delete Your Data: Want me to forget you existed? Just ask
  • Correct Your Data: Made a typo? Let’s fix it
  • Opt-Out: Don’t want emails anymore? No hard feelings, unsubscribe anytime

Note about Store Purchases: For legal and tax reasons, I need to keep some transaction records even if you request deletion. But I’ll minimize what I keep to only what’s legally required.

Data Security

I take security seriously. While I can’t guarantee 100% security (nobody can, let’s be honest), I:

  • Use secure hosting
  • Keep everything updated
  • Use SSL encryption (that’s the padlock in your browser)
  • Don’t store sensitive information like passwords or payment details
  • Regularly backup everything (your comments and purchases are safe!)

Children’s Privacy

This website is for adults. If you’re under 18, please get your parent’s permission before sharing any information. I don’t knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

Just like I evolved from a 7th grader learning web development to buying my dream car, this privacy policy might evolve too. I’ll update the “Last Updated” date whenever I make changes. Major changes? I’ll let you know.

International Visitors

I’m based in New Delhi, India, but the internet has no borders. If you’re visiting from another country, please know that your data might be transferred to and stored in India. By using this website, you’re okay with this.

Contact Me

Have questions about privacy? Want to exercise your rights? Or just want to chat about SEO and mutual funds? Here’s how to reach me:

You can also use the Contact Us page on this website.

The Human Touch

Look, I started this journey in 7th grade with basic knowledge and big dreams. This website represents years of learning, failing, succeeding, and growing. I treat your privacy the way I’d want mine treated – with respect and care.

I’m not here to exploit your data. I’m here to share knowledge, experiences, and hopefully help you on your own journey – whether that’s in SEO, WordPress development, personal finance, or life in general.

Remember, unlike those big corporations, I’m just one person running this website. If you ever feel uncomfortable about anything privacy-related, just reach out. We’ll figure it out together.

Stay awesome,
Sunny Sah

P.S. – Yes, I named my dog Zoro after the One Piece character. And yes, he’s as loyal as his namesake! 🐕
